The Felix Project is a London-based UK charity set up in 2016 by entrepreneur, Justin Byam Shaw, in memory of his son Felix. Their aim is to give good food to good causes, tackling both food poverty and food waste. The Felix Project collects good quality food from suppliers and then deliver it to charities so they can give vulnerable people a healthy meal or snack. Put simply, in partnership we are saving food and changing lives.
4.7 million adults in the United Kingdom struggle to afford to eat every day, 2 million children are at risk of missing the next meal. Meanwhile, our food industry generates 3 million tonnes of good, edible surplus food each year.
Thomas & Tate are proud to support this fantastic organisation with our hearty Leek and Potato Soup. Made with love in our kitchens and donated weekly.
As caterers we feel that we have a responsibility to help combat food waste. Alongside various technology solutions and food packaging innovations we have introduced 0% Waste, 100% Taste, our very own low waste food concept.
We focus on creating delicious dishes, utilising trims and peels, sustainable breeds, cuts of underused meats and vegetables that generally end up being thrown away.
